Our Core Guarantee: Your Files Never Leave Your Computer

Unlike traditional web tools, SmartPDFly executes 100% of all document processing, encryption, and conversions locally inside your web browser using WebAssembly and client-side JavaScript. We never upload, view, transmit, or store your documents on any external server.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

Because of our client-side WebAssembly architecture, we have zero access to:

  • Document Contents: The text, images, financial data, or legal clauses inside your PDFs.
  • Passwords & Keys: Passwords you assign in Protect PDF or Unlock PDF remain strictly in your browser RAM.
  • Signatures: Any drawn or typed ink signatures created in our e-Sign tool.

2. Information We Collect for Subscriptions

If you purchase a SmartPDFly VIP Pro subscription, our payment partners (Stripe / LemonSqueezy) collect standard billing information (such as your email address and name) solely to issue your VIP License Key, deliver transactional receipts, and manage renewal status. We never store raw credit card numbers.

3. Browser Local Storage & Cookies

SmartPDFly uses your browser's local storage (localStorage) to save your UI preferences (Dark or Light mode) and your VIP license key so that your Pro status remains active across sessions. We do not use intrusive tracking cookies.

4. Advertising (Google AdSense)

For free-tier visitors, our website may display banner advertisements served by Google AdSense to offset bandwidth and hosting costs. Google may use non-personally identifiable cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to serve relevant advertisements. VIP Pro subscribers enjoy an ad-free experience with all ad banners suppressed.

5. GDPR & CCPA Compliance

Since your documents never reach our servers, SmartPDFly is inherently privacy-compliant under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). You retain 100% ownership, sovereignty, and control over all your personal data.

6. Contact Regarding Privacy
